WSRO 20/20 is a Wrap!

Special thanks to our keynote and session speakers and a big thank you to all who attended, you helped make WSRO 20/20 a success! Now WSRO would like to share a few of the conference survey results!

  1. WSRO 20/20: "Seeing Transportation Options Clearly" had the best ever attendance with over 140 attendees, including 40 scholarship recipients. Attendees were surveyed after the conference.

    1. Attendees overwhelmingly gave the conference high marks (8.4 out of 10) and value (8.2 out of 10)

    2. Some high praise:
      • "Very high value presentations."
      • "Loved the topics and speakers - very prescient to today's climate."
      • "The WSRO Board did an excellent job - one of the best virtual conferences I have been to!"
      • "Not every session will be of value to each attendee, but even when a session was not applicable to me I was still often interested."

    3. Constructive feedback taken to heart:
      • "From an ETC standpoint some the content was a little too beyond the realm of what we have the ability to do and change. I thought some content was for geared towards planning departments for transit agencies."

This years WSRO Conference was one more reason to celebrate September’s Car Free Day and Bike to Work Week!

WSRO 20/20: Seeing Transportation Options Clearly was a one day digital experience, hosted on September 22, 2020!

This year the WSRO Board was delighted to welcome over 130 attendees and 20 speakers to the annual WSRO Conference, including our keynotes Erin Jones and Roger Millar. This virtual conference was very different from our usual event, and we wanted to share our deep appreciation for everyone who engaged in the chat box discussions, polls, happy hour and Q&A sessions.

The goal of this year's digital conference, was to engage more statewide partners and highlight diverse speakers. The global pandemic has allowed us to see many things more clearly: inequities, fragility and holes in our assumptions, but it has also revealed the importance of flexible transportation options to our economy. WSRO 20/20 will explore the ways that employers, commuters and TDM partners have adapted, innovated and proven our resilience during this unprecedented time.

The conference addressed the interests of a broad spectrum of transportation professionals in the Northwest, with an emphasis on content that directly relates to local TDM efforts.
