WSRO 2026 Conference "The Core of Connections"
|
Welcome to The Core of Connections! Welcome to Wenatchee, the heart of Washington, where the majestic confluence of the Wenatchee and Columbia Rivers mirrors the very purpose of our gathering. This year’s conference, "The Core of Connections," invites us to look beyond the technical mechanics of transit demand management and focus on the ultimate "why" behind our work. In an era where physical and social distances can feel vast, TDM serves as the vital architecture that brings us back to the essentials. We are here to explore how thoughtful mobility strategies can do more than just move people; they can bridge the gaps in our daily lives, fostering deeper human interactions and ensuring that every individual has the freedom to engage fully with their community. Set against the stunning backdrop of the North Cascades and our region’s fertile valleys, we are also reminded that true connection must extend to the natural world. As we meet in the "Apple Capital," we recognize that our efforts to reduce congestion and promote sustainable travel are essential to preserving the environment that sustains us. Our mission is to cultivate a transit landscape that respects the earth while enhancing the human experience. Let us use our time here in Central Washington to harvest innovative ideas that prioritize environmental stewardship and human-centric design, ensuring our transit systems remain the robust core that binds our lives, our neighbors, and our planet together. |
